Generation to Generation · Still Standing
What a blessing it was to gather as the descendants of Thomas and Josephine Washington. Detroit 2026 gave us a weekend of fellowship, worship, food, laughter, family history, new memories, and renewed connection across generations.
Detroit 2026 is now part of our history.
Now we need your voice.

A Word from Our President
Hello family! This is a note of recognition and appreciation to each of you who served in preparation of the 2026 Thomas and Josephine Washington Family Reunion. From the service of our steering committee officers, to our host city committee, our senior advisors, and all of our volunteers — the Thomas & Josephine Washington Family Reunion 2026 was a huge success.
This success is a testament to your teamwork and perseverance. Thank you for your commitment to excellence. Thank you for supporting one another and working together so effectively. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off.
Each of you played an important role and I appreciate your unique contributions. Together, we achieved something remarkable. It shows in our results. It is my hope that we can carry this momentum forward. I'm excited to see what we can achieve for reunion 2028.
Our family is a gift, and we have been favored by God. Let us never forget this special gift — as it is only by the grace of God that from generation to generation we can remain one heart with many members, and by God's grace that we can declare that we are still standing. Again, I say, Thank you. You are appreciated. You are loved. And I pray that God's richest blessings be upon each of you.
Love Always,
Cousin Judy

In Loving Memory
We pause to honor the loved ones of the Thomas & Josephine Washington Family who have transitioned since our last reunion.
Their love remains with us, and their lives will always be part of the story we carry forward.
Generation to Generation: Still Standing.
This memorial tribute is shared for family remembrance and reflection. Please view and share with care, honoring the dignity of every loved one and every family represented.
Your Voice Matters
The Washington Family Reunion has continued for generations because family members have shown up, served, remembered, planned, prayed, and passed the legacy forward. Your voice matters in that process.
Please take a few minutes to complete the Post-Reunion Survey. Whether you attended one event or the entire weekend, your feedback will help the committee understand what to sustain, what to improve, and how to better serve the family in the years ahead.
Post-Reunion Survey
The survey includes questions about each major weekend event — the Meet & Greet, picnic, youth activities, adult excursion, worship service, and family banquet. Please answer honestly and thoughtfully. Your feedback helps us plan with wisdom.
Carry It Forward
The Washington Family Reunion did not continue by accident.
It continued because one generation cared enough to gather the next. It continued because family members remembered where we came from and believed our story was worth preserving. Completing the survey is one small but important way to help carry that responsibility forward.
Your input becomes part of the record. Your recommendations help shape what comes next. Your voice helps make sure the reunion remains meaningful for children, grandchildren, elders, first-time attendees, and family members yet to come.
For questions about the reunion, photos, or upcoming updates, please reach out to the reunion committee. We want every family member to stay informed, welcomed, and connected to the Washington family legacy.
